This is a sad news story from here in New Zealand about a woman who was very distressed to discover an iStock unreleased editorial image of her had been used in an advertising campaign. https://thespinoff.co.nz/atea/06-08-2025/how-did-ellen-tamatis-face-end-up-on-hobsons-pledge-billboards

Very sad story.

Surprised Getty did not get their legal team involved as this is a breach of their license.

Getty does not care. I had several of my images used online as "free to download virtual postcards" by a Mobile company. They credited back to Getty. The getty license contract excludes such usage. I contacted getty several times, they just ignored me.
