Hi  guys,
I wanted to ask about my sales on fotolia, thanks in advance for help.
I got more than 520 images on fotolia and not even got 100 sales. Only $26.14 earned. I am online for more than 6 months. I think the problem is that i got no views on my images. I keyword my vectors by searching for that image and then copying the keywords from that image information. Fotolia images are valued on the order of keywording. While the keywords for the image are in the alphabetical order. May be that's the reason.

THIS IS MY FOTOLIA PORTFOLIO

Please help me if you have any suggestions.
Thanks

Your portfolio needs better diversity. I would stay away from throwing a bunch of text on the same background over and over again. That stuff rarely sells.

Think how anyone would use any of that.

Try shooting some regatta images.

nobody needs that rubish. do some real stock photos and then sales will come.

Sorry but I have to agree. The only reason any of it is online is poor reviewing standards IMHO.

Sorry if this sounds rude, but your keywording is really awful as well. You have many that bear no relation to the image they supposedly describe.

To take one of the few actual images in your portfolio as an example, you have bicycle, jogging, chair, cardio, city, couple, building as keywords and those items aren't in this image of a park. You do have park, but not trees, or sun, or grass or other things that might actually be useful to buyers.

Assuming you decide to change what you're uploading to things that might have better sales potential than all those words and fake flag-like things, having good, accurate, descriptive keywords is important for buyers to find your work.

Do people really buy images of words, or those psychidellic backgrounds? I don't do vector though.

I think the OP answers that in the first post.

These type of questions get asked here time and time again by suppliers of all sorts of content.
The reality is that if the style or content of what they are uploading doesn't sell after a reasonable time, then it's no good keep on uploading similar stuff. This may be a numbers game, but it still has to be what people want to buy.

There's more to this business than being a technically able illustrator or photographer.

You change just the text, or color (flags). Ist little spammy for me. Nobody buy this, sorry but this is not too creative. Everebody (buyers) can change the text on background.

yes,, i'm agree with the most previews comments
And it's not original, a lot of flag or country already exist, so your potential sell are very low
If we remove flag, country and word in color image, your portfolio is empty ....
Be more creative  ;)

A lot of "spam" threads lately ::)

You have a few backgrounds that look nice, the rest is too repetitive and those big words vectors are very hard to look at.. You need way more efforts to expect nicer $ return.

Thanks everyone for giving me these suggestions, but the point is that there are some people like https://www.fotolia.com/p/200763628 they are creating only these texts and they are emerald contributors and have many images gone to the best seller of the week.

I see a lot more variety and creativity in that port than in yours. And yes, it does look like you totally copied one of his concepts, right down to the font.

How would somebody even find your portfolio when somebody else has been doing exactly the same thing for a long time and has better ranking?

Create something fresh and new that's all your own, and your chances of success will rise considerably.
