Alamy offered it for a while but since I switched to direct deposit I must say it is a very convenient way to get paid.
I can see that many people still like funds coming into Paypal because they also use the money straight from there for online purchases.
However I was wondering why the micros in general don't offer direct deposit, especially for countries where there is no Paypal. Also the agencies have to pay the fees for Masspay (I assume).
Anyone?

Relative cost?

Relative cost?
So why did Alamy give up the $10* fee for check OR direct deposits? Are they just being generous? Is a company being nice to us? What the heck is happening?
*There used to be a fee - I don't remember how much...

For the countries where PayPal is not available, MoneyBookers (https://www.moneybookers.com/app/?rid=5982029) can be a good alternative when direct deposit is not offered.

For us living in Europe at least Scanstockphoto, Stockphotomedia and Photocase does pay with direct deposit. I think you have to live in a country that uses euro currency (?)

I mentioned on another thread that here in Canada Direct Deposit costs $15 per. So that adds up to $180 per year just to get money from Alamy. Cheques are better to wait for a few days than pay this fee.

Have you followed Alamy's updates on the direct deposit? Supposedly with their latest form of direct deposit you shouldn't suffer from any fees either.

I have Direct Deposit from iStock through Payoneer. Unfortunately I think it is currently only available in the US. I would like to see them make it available to other countries as well, but my guess it has something to do with the different currencies and conversion fees.

Don't know why or when? But I've never been charged a fee for anything from Alamy. Also their site says "no fee" for ACH direct deposit starting Sept. 1st.

Yes, some companies work with the photographers and artists to make things better.
