Thanks Alex.  Great reading as always and many thanks for the detailed information regarding Arcangel.

I'm giving them a break at the moment.  I got 35% accepted in November but for my 1st December upload which I took a lot of time over (tabletop) I only got 3 accepted out of 18 uploaded.  I have looked closely at them and I can see some of the possible reasons (might even be copyright, as they are rings) and similars.

Anyway, with regard to one thing you said: 'as images on Arcangel sell (on average) for 100+ times what they would sell on a Microstock agency' I just worked out my sale in November.  I earned $130 and I tend to receive 10 cents for most of my SS images.  That's 1300 times more on Arcangel  8)

It shocks me every time I see your brutallyhonest numbers, Alexandre!
So many agencies, such a large portfolio. The numbers are sobering!
But thank you for the insight you give us!

Interesting you likewise had a good month on Shutterstock and poor month on Adobe Stock (like me). Also interesting (to me at least) is despite my very poor month on Adobe, as I've been whinging about the past month, taking into account the number of assets I actually performed better than you in November. :P Still, very well done on Shutterstock, so congratulations on your result there. 8)

great write up Alex! I slipped a little from November 2020 sales. My 10th year in the business and no longer gaining.

Let me help you. If you get two sales a year on Arcangel you should close your SS account and stop bothering with them.  8) Then concentrate on working your way towards three sales a year on AA by shooting specifically for their kind of content.

Thanks.  I won't close my account but no new images have been uploaded to Sstock for over a year.
Yes, I only produce images for Arcangel now.

I hope you appreciated the humor in that. Two sales equals a whole year of SS?  ;D

Funny thing about SS this month is that I'm seeing more subs for >$0.38  ($0.59 to be exact)! Still get plenty tens-and-teens but these higher value subs seem to be increasing. AS doing better than October but port is food-oriented.
