Do you ever wonder if sales are on the up and up on lower tier international sites. This is why I ask. I am on a hand full of lower tier sites, some not located in the USA. I have thousands of images and few if any sales each year on these sites. Now at the top tier sites I get sells everyday.  Are these lower tier sites just this bad at sales or do you think they might hide sales.???

Some of the larger agencies reporting worries me more than the bottom tier ones.

Sorry but just the opposite. Big sites are making money and have more to lose if they were to do anything under the table or illegal. The image and credibility would cause them great harm.

The little ones, people don't expect sales and don't watch as carefully. If they skim off one sale here and there, no one would notice. And if caught, who's going to go after them for 25 cents?

I just read on the forum at Stockfresh which is a very small site, that Andres Rodriguez is trying to delete his 30,000 images. Maybe he reads this post and will tell why he is trying to back out from a low tier group. For me Stockfresh is a site that just dose not sell any photos for me. I am not sure how they stay in business if sells are always truly low.

He's exclusive at iStock/Getty now.  He probably got a similar deal to what Yuri got which allowed him to keep his files up on other sites for a length of time before he had to pull them.
