Few weeks ago Dissolve freezed my account for
uploading.
I asked them to reconsider...
Today they sent me a long confusing email saying NO.

Anyone else contributing to dissolve ?
I wonder how many been blocked....

Btw they earn more than 500$ from my stuff each month.

Dissolve don't really seem to have a business plan that fits in well with the other agencies. That's why I think they are struggling. Plus their contributor resources are non existent.

Not worth it, and they force a form of price fixing on you by forcing your price down to VB levels if you are on that site. And at 30% that leaves you peanuts. Very disappointed in them and how they changed their tune so fast, like most agencies do when they get some traction.

I initially applied and got accepted a year or so ago, but decided not to upload there because I think they are pigs. Recently with all the turbulence with P5 I put my integrity aside and e-mailed them to resend the letter for to sign and got no response, so I re-applied. But my videos which were good enough before were no longer good enough so they rejected my application.

So, I assume they are building a core of a few super marketable videos to sustain them or something.

I stopped uploading there after they lowered the price of my files to match that on VB. I don't see any reason to support a company treating contributors like that.

As far as I can remember I got some strange email from them after sending them a link to my portfolio initially - your works are good but you have to sell at following prices elsewhere... That was an end of a cooperation since I had lower price sales at pond then and I didn't want to ruin them.

In my email exchanges with them, that's essentially what they are trying to do...another high-end production clip agency.  What bothers me the most is that they came in to the business not knowing their strategy, got their feet wet and changed their direction based on what they learned. In the meantime they are in here pushing Dissolve to get content, only to change course, get pissed off at VB's pricing, and force it on us but at a lower commission (100% at VB, 30% at Dissolve). That behavior means I will never support them again, even if they have yet another redirection. Why? NO TRUST. They have earned that stamp.

Dissolve accepted me but I never got any video clips approved there, they pretty much told me I wasn't high class enough for their site.

The problem I have with snooty boutique art house agencies like this is unless it's strictly due to server or cloud storage costs then why not let in almost everything and be all things to all people.  The high end clients don't have to buy certain things if they don't want to but having everything on the server means more choices for more customers.

That's not how it works when you want something to look top quality. Everything must be top quality.
