I'll try again?

"I do not want to sell through that site, just a gallery and a reference for my clients and models."

Both are FREE, both have controls on who sees what.

Google has a free Picassa albums -  http://picasa.google.com/ 1024 MB free

MSN  http://photos.live.com/

Yes, it would be perfect in that sense. BUT, I do not want ads, references to google or msn. It's got to be a pro looking site, however simple and neat. My potential models and clients will be reading info about me and viewing my sample pictures, so a nice flash gallery is needed.
Sorry for ambiguity from my side.

Ah Ha, by the way did you look at the sites or just decide it was wrong? Hint: there are no ads. ;)

I sent you a PM with some gallery links so you can see what they look like. FREE!

The MSN site says SkyDrive on it. Sorry that the name is so important for the image of the site. But please take a look?

Otherwise, you would be best off just hosting  your own, if the name makes a huge difference and then you have complete control. Probably $10 a month including registration. That's cheaper than paying someplace more for renting the space. There is a large variety of free good gallery software out there.

I know this is an old post, but I am another photographer that has maintained a "fine-art" site on Smugmug for a couple of years (with a Pro account), in the hope of selling some prints. For two years, nothing, then, out of the blue, I sold $90 worth of prints to one customer. Some were simple 4x6 images, but the customer also bought three 12x8 and one 20x16 of some images I took in the old Town of Warsaw in  Poland. My net profit was $52! I took advantage of the proof delay to work on the images to get the best quality I could for a print, and I really hope the prints come out as she expected. I plan to follow up with her to find out how she found my site, but it has given me renewed energy to raise its profile on Google!

Here is the one chosen for a 16x20. I show the others on my blog: http://www.backyardsilver.com/2011/05/sales-of-prints-on-smugmug/
