I know this is an old post, but I am another photographer that has maintained a "fine-art" site on Smugmug for a couple of years (with a Pro account), in the hope of selling some prints. For two years, nothing, then, out of the blue, I sold $90 worth of prints to one customer. Some were simple 4x6 images, but the customer also bought three 12x8 and one 20x16 of some images I took in the old Town of Warsaw in  Poland. My net profit was $52! I took advantage of the proof delay to work on the images to get the best quality I could for a print, and I really hope the prints come out as she expected. I plan to follow up with her to find out how she found my site, but it has given me renewed energy to raise its profile on Google!
