Regarding "free speech", stoker2014 apparently does not adhere to this principle as he moves the posts he does not agree with to garbage bin. Why to defend right to free speech of somebody who does not respect it themselves?

I check the forum every day, but now I can't find the threads related to microstock. Most of the posts seem off-topic and it's difficult to find the few that are actually about microstock.

This has nothing to do with Free Speech my friend. If you support Trolling behaviour and start shouting names instead, you are essentially lowering yourself to his level. Only real solution is permanent ban. But there can be different opinions; right now there are over 20 "+" votes, despite post getting hidden in garbage bin good part of the day. That tells clearly what majority think. Only question is if something will be done about it or not.

i certainly don't support trolls, but feel that daylight is the best disinfectant --
i may have been unclear - my negative opinions were directed at the content of their posts, not the person (except for ignorance {unlike stupidity} = lack of knowledge - which is a demonstrated, sad, statement of fact, not an insult.)

It is this thread (Petition to MSG admin) that he keeps moving to garbage bin. If it was his own thread, I would not have cared (I would not have even noticed it). But this is very disrespectful.

you can turn off the 'off topic' when you choose what parts of the forum you follow

overall, there's not a lot going on, tho number of non-posting guests remains high.

There are already over 40 votes for. This speaks for itself how community feels. To make myself clear: Issue here is far larger than single rogue user. It is really about what is acceptable in a public Forum that has primary purpose to deal with Photography. Not banning a Troll sends wrong message. Anyone can come in and post garbage, because they know it will be tolerated. Pro-nazi views, white supremacy, gender inequality and list goes on, you get the picture. Putting Trolls on ignore doesn't cut it -- new user can come in without knowing what's really going on, and - wow, look what kind of trash is going on here.

Line in the sand must be drawn. Garbage stops right here. Otherwise we WILL lose last good online resource that deals with Microstock Photography.

I tried my best as "Thank you MSG, because you gave me lots of useful Info, and I am trying to give something back", but it is out of my hands now. Thank to all of you that added support for what I believe is the right thing.

I’m not Ukrainian and I don’t sympathize with all that politics, but let’s be honest. Ukrainians are suffering and defending the entire civilized world against the horde of Putin’s followers. If not for their bravery, the Russians would currently be somewhere in eastern Germany or western Poland, not to mention the Baltic states. Stocker is from Ukraine and it pains him to see his nation bleeding. I believe it’s worth giving space to the truth, even if it’s off-topic.

I can't help but think this whole madness is being tolerated for a reason. Trolls = views = interactions = sponsors. The likes of WP Engine, Dropbox, Coinbase, 5,900+ Premium Whatever wouldn't be here were it not for the amount of people who seriously believe it's a good idea to reply to trolls.

The Admin of this forum hasn't/won't do anything about this issue because he seems to be far more interested in his sponsors than in keeping a healthy forum as it once was. I've been mainly lurking here for about 10 years ans yes, there's always been some sort of tension in the forum, but we have never reached this disgusting state of affairs the Admin is entirely complacent with.

My only suggestion at this point, and considering we still need a place where we can discuss stock-related matters, is to create a Discord channel. It will lack all the bells and whistles of the MSG forum, but at least we could discuss stock in a more civilized way. If this echoes the feeling of other fellow stock producers, we could get organized and get the ball rolling.
