Well .. it seems that microstock is not yet the rock bottom ... take a look at the photo jobs on Elance/oDesk :

Apart a job for 5-10K anything else is slave labour and there's also a couple jobs for stockers (paid a pittance).
Very interesting, i checked it out of curiosity as a friend of mine talked to me about his negative experience on Elance about wordpress etc, not surprised at all i must say.

Some of them are for custom images while others are just on-location assignments. Mainstream stock images did not get that low as to auction them in open market.

I tried some of these sites - another one is "people per hour" - never got a sniff of any work. Even if I discounted by 25% - 50% there was always someone willing to work for a pork pie.

there are folks willing to shoot for 'Free' in hope they will get paid work in the future which of course never happens...

The issue with these sites is that you are always underbid by someone in a different country will to work for far less. At least that is what I have found
