I had 2 years with no sales, but then have sold 4 prints in the past 2 months. it always tends to be the same print (of a beach sunset in England) and I think their sales are often very UK based (ie places in the UK)

I've been on there about 4 years - I get maybe 3 or 4 sales a year.  As Oscar says, mostly one particular print that sells.

So not a great place for me, but worth the effort;  I already have the images, so why not?

Do any other topics than UK places or scenery sell there? Anybody had any other sales?

All of my sales (about 11 so far) have all been of the UK. 9 of them are the same photo of the beach (which I think shows that once you have sold an image it tends to rank higher) and a glance at the new sold images across the site seems to show a preponderance of UK locations:

I put up one (sic, 1) image a few years back, then got swamped with all the 'likes' (I think they called it something else [?]) and discovered that you have to get involved with  'liking' to push your images up the ranking. I couldn't be bothered with playing that game, so never looked at the site again, though that one image is presumably still there.

Do they still do that?

Yes, although each time you get a sale, you tend to get a swarm of (It's exceptional, I Love it) so I think that probably helps with pushing that image higher. They sell a lot of images of old world war 2 fighter planes in the skies. Probably people like those on their wall.

I don't ever go to the site except to look at my occasional sales so it isn't necessary to spend a lot of time liking other images. Although you perhaps need to do that to get started these days?

Thank you very much Steve for the helpful information! I uploaded about 100 images 2 years ago, none of them UK images, no sales... so probably won't upload more.

They reject a lot of my best images as "unsaleable" but they sure sell other places so my portfolio there is left with mostly images I do not think will sell.  Never had a sale.  Waste of time.

A few years ago I uploaded a handful of my best.  Just recently, I got a sale.

Their 'recently sold' page tells me that what sells there are UK landscapes, landmarks, planes and boats.  I don't have any of that.  But getting the sale, naturally, has me thinking about uploading more.

Their best selling page is very British-centric.  Nice stuff.  Makes me want to visit.
