Had my first sale at Photoshelter Friday. A $99 RF sale for a small size photo. I will net about $70. That's 10X more money that the same photo made me on the micros for about the same time frame.
-
Thats really great for you. But please, let us know how long it takes to earn ANOTHER $70 there ;)
-
how big is your portfolio there, and could we have a look?

I have about 300 images live at Photoshelter. Been there about 8 months.
This is the image that sold. http://psc.photoshelter.com/image/PSC000855234/p

About 3 months back I turned down an offer for a group of 8 RM photos to a buyer. They offered $800 for the use of 8 photos. The staff didn't think I should go for the deal so I didn't. The initial quote was around $4300. I would of said yes to $1600 but the buyer didn't come back. Oh well. These were not subjects easily found on stock sites across the internet so I felt well about my decision.
There have also been two photographers that have made $8000 and $5000 RM sales.

Thanks for sharing Cappi - and congratulations with your first sale!

That is a beautiful picture, Cappi!

Congrats! PSC is definitely a site I would like to see succeed.

Congratulations on the sale of your beautiful photo. :) I like that PSC is showing the photos that are selling right up front on their site. Inspiring!
I have one photo that's been put in a lightbox 6 times and when they do this on IS it usually means it will be sold soon. Hope so!

Sold my second photo this month today at Photoshelter. Kinda stinks they are closing down just when things start rolling. Today's sale will have a photo being used by IBM. That one put a smile on my face!
That puts my earnings from a smaller sized port 50% above what my 350 photos on Shutterstock are making me this month and that's by selling two photos.
Time to get busy uploading to Alamy.
