I uploaded some videos to Wirestock 2 months back, till now they don't uploaded them to agencies. Contacted them several times, but no proper response, every time I received same answer "we have huge backlog and we are clearing it".

It's ok if they are clearing their backlog. If they are really clearing their backlog, why not a single video file is increased in Wirestock portfolios across agencies ? Are they only clearing photos but not videos ?

I asked the same questions to them, but no proper answer.

Finally I asked them to remove my video files which were not submitted to agencies, they need not to spend much time on this, because they just have to remove them from my Wirestock account.

I even told them that 90 days +30 days for every 100 files don't work here because

1. They don't uploaded to agencies, it was much easy to remove
2. It was their delay ( not only my videos, not a single video file is increased in their portfolios from last 2-3 months)

I even told above with them, they asked me to send file id's to delete, and I sent them.

From thereon, They are not  deleting my video files which were not submitted to agencies and not responding to my mails.

I don't know how many of you people facing such issues with them, but be careful when submitting files with them, at least for videos.

Same for pictures. They get accepted by Wirestock, but don't seem to get uploaded to the agencies. And I'm talking manual keywording, no easy submissions.
A couple of weeks back I got in touch with their support and the answer was rather vague: yes we have some issues for some agencies but we expect it to be fixed soon.

Until now nothing seems to be fixed, so I refrained from uploading to Wirestock.
Makes no sense if they don't submit it to the agencies.

I don't keep track of how their collections on different agencies grow, so might as well be the case that they are very picky to what they send to agencies.
Their current collection at Dreamstime (which takes about everything you throw them) is 882,739 assets.

Another I noticed: Extra channels sales kicked off. Well, kicked off... I sold a bunch of images all for 9 cents. They have an API integration with the South Korean agency Miricanvas. The royalties are calculated based on their overall subscription revenues and total number of downloads for each month. So whoever wanted to avoid flat fee subscription sites but enabled extra channels... there you go. On the positive side: it's a market which is generally less accessible for most of contributors I guess, so a microbit of an extra which we otherwise wouldn't have.

Thanks I was wondering where those sales came from. I must have missed the notice of the new "Extra Channels" Buy when I looked yesterday I had 17 of those 9 credits. Nine of them the same image, which was a mystery to me.

Did I miss an email or announcement? Do you have any more details or a link?

Lets see, that means, it's somewhere below SS and above Connect?  ::)  And at the rate things are going, also beats some recent Alamy credits.

Then I ask myself why I'm not motivated to take new images, edit and upload them to Microstock, anymore? In the Winter I'll work at adding new images to Adobe again! I play at FAA when I have something creative that I like.

No, no link, no announcement. They were suddenly there. Someone asked on one of their Slack channels where the Extra Channel sales were coming from, and a staff member was keen enough to reply.

According to Wirestock, commissions can vary depending on the amount of downloads and subscriptions, so if I understood it right, it's the same kind of thing DepositPhoto's and 123RF have been trying to pull off. Or what Freepik is doing. I always wanted to avoid those flat fee shared income sales, opted out at DepositPhoto's and 123RF, but now I'm in at a Korean agency via Wirestock. :-/

I'm afraid it's the new normal, and the standard for the next months and years to come. I try to avoid it as long as I can, because I don't see any way how this is sustainable. It's already a challenge to get a decent amount of income via subscription sales, those flat-fee-unlimited-downloads-shared-income programs stretch the volume game even further.

that's their standard response - but months later many problems are still there

I know that Wirestock partners with Istock and Getty Images. Im beyond excited for this partnership. However, I cannot find my images on Istock and Getty. Is this partnership is real?
