I've never sold anything there but maybe you need more photos than the free account allows to sell there anyway. Any thoughts?

People here have been arguing about Picfair for years - here's just one from nearly a decade ago:

In general, good sales generate talk in the contributor community and I've never heard anything about Picfair taking off. I think many would dearly love to have an alternative to the agencies and that keeps the various self-hosting options bumping along.
They have apparently opened up full features to the existing free accounts until July 27th, so you can try out what you pay for to see what you think.
As far as I know they don't do marketing - which is the key thing in getting your work in front of prospective customers...

You are probably correct. They only allow 200 photos in the free account. But I'm philosophically opposed to paying agencies for hosting on top of also taking a cut of my sales.

A useless outfit that sells next to nothing. They make their money selling Picfair Plus
£90 per year to pay for that rip off and I've only ever made $40 US out of them in four years.
I'll close the account, one less crap stock agency to worry about ::)

There's nothing fair about PicFair, flushed those turds down the toilet long ago with no regrets.
They had a weird views counter that reached something like 200,000 views in my portfolio of 4,000 images even though sales were pitiful. Weird agency.
