Title: Pixta setting a good example
Post by: Yay Images Billionaire on February 06, 2015, 04:32
Today's e-mail from Pixta is a great example of how agencies SHOULD work when they do their sales-incentives plans! Now if only I could sell more there...

From February 9, 2015, we will start a campaign for footage sales promotion.
...
During the period, all footage shall be sold at the following prices.

 Web(S)          $10
 Web(L)          $20
 NTSC / PAL      $30
 HD720           $40
 HD1080          $50
...
 [Royalty rate]
Although the price is different from usual during the period, your royalty rate will be the same as usual.
Please be assured that your earnings will NOT be reduced by this campaign.

Ex) When HD1080 is sold at the campaign price $50,
your earnings will be at the usual price: $90 × Royalty rate (%).

Maybe im missing something in the right direction statement. It looks to me like they could be experimenting with the classic "lower pricing will drive higher volume" model that other agencies follow and merely absorbing a marketing cost by keeping your commissions the same until the test is done.

I am not on pixta. But if they are just offering a special and keeping your rates the same. Whooooorahhhhh.
