Title: Question about ELs
Post by: volk65 on August 31, 2007, 06:44
Hi all,

As far as I understand, when you make an EL sale, you have to remove that pic from the site (if not automatically removed), as the pic is no longer royalty-free. And this also includes the copies of the same picture submitted on other microstock sites.

My question is, what would we do to delete it from DT  if we hit the 6 months limit (ie. they keep images for 6 months after we upload them)?

this is only so if you sold the rights.  Not for an normal extended license.

Perrush is correct.

An EL (= "Extended License") sale merely grants the buyer more leeway in what the image can be used for, and how many times the image may be printed.

You are confusing this with selling the rights to an image, which is basically an agreement with the buyer so that he is now the only one who can use the image.
