Hi all - I'm after a bit of informed feedback with this one.
Say an advertising agency makes a deal with a Microstock agency. The advertising agency creates an account and downloads let's say 1000 images. For this they pay a fee per image of say $20 each. That's $20 to the agency - who will pay the contributor the going commission rate.
The 1000 images are download by a design team and stored in an internal database. The team of designers now has unrestricted access to the images to use as many times as they want in any type of print ad or website. Let's say they are a large advertising agency and have 10's of 1000's of clients. You get the drift - for the $20 fee they use the image 100's of times. There is no internal log by the advertising agency on usage.
Question: is there a license with any Micro agency you know which would allow this? I'd have though they would have to buy the rights per image outright - but maybe I'm wrong?

different sites have differing licences, some allow you to use an image unlimited ( within the restrictions of the licence) for a period of one year , others dont have a time restriction
anywho - that is in essence microstock - cheap images for a very wide and generous terms of use.
"this is what I signed up for ?" is a question I ask myself many times :(

It's not just micro. Monitoring usage is a problem under any RF license.
Like noodle says, all agencies have their own policies, e.g. iS has one file, one user - an internal database e.g on a company server would nead a multi-seat license. How to check this? ::) :o

Unlimited seats (U-EL):
This license extends our regular Royalty Free / Editorial license to an unlimited number of seats within the same organization. It is an additional license to the usage included within the regular Royalty-Free / Editorial license that awards rights for a single person within the same company. The U-EL license is applied only for the staff of the organization that holds the account. The maximum amount limit of 500,000 copies applies for the total amount of work resulted from all designers involved.
There is no way to enforce this or any other license since the agency does not have access to the records of the company who bought the images.
