Title: Rejections
Post by: ichiro17 on May 30, 2006, 10:21
I just found this very interesting.  I had finally got a rejection from 123RF after submitting about 108 photos.  Its about time they actually take a look.  But the funny thing is, they rejected one photo of an invoice and accepted another, both the same, just with different background.  Same with DT, although they claimed one was blurry and out of focus, yet the same photo that I put a black background was accepted.  Weird.  I don't mind though, I'm up to 40 photos on DT which isn't too bad.

Pick two people here to review images an you will get different results.  I recently submitted three images of the same series in IS and got two accepted and one rejected for artifacts (which would have been at the other ones if they existed).  At DT, two of these were rejected for another reason (which I only understood after I asked for a better explanation - those standard rejection notes are useless) and again it was the same in the approved photo.

It's quite interesting to see how different reviewers will review pics differently
I just uploaded six metal textures from the same series to istock, shutterstock and Stockxpert with these results:

iStock accepted #1-6
Shutterstock accepted #1-4
Stockxpert  accepted #3-6

Both SS and StockXpert had "too many of the same series" reasons(which I expected), but interestingly enough iStock took them all. (I have to stress that all of the textures had their own characteristics)
