Hi MSG Folks-

When submitting a recent drawing I get this error message-

"Pictures must be at least 4.0 megapixels. This picture is 1500 x 1000 = 1,500,000 pixels (1.5 megapixels)."

I converted the PSD file to Jpg (max size of 12 on the scale) and it showed 1.5 mb in size.

Any tips would be welcomed.

Thanks.

1.5mb says nothing, 1.5mp says 1.500.000 pixels.

Make sure the image is 4mp or 4.000.000 pixels. So 2500x1600

It's simple math. It has nothing to do with the file size or compression rate.
1500 x 1000 pixels = 1,500,000 pixels (1.5 megapixels, mega = million).
You should make your image larger.

http://web.forret.com/tools/megapixel.asp Megapixel Calculator

I think I used to have that bookmarked. Nice utility site.

Now I just have a calculator on the desk and multiply, lets see, 2500 x 1600 = 4,000,000 which will fail some site size checks. You'll need to have 4,096,000 if it's down to slicing it as close as possible.  :)
