yesterday I got an email of 500px saying this:

Prime User bought a License of your photo "xxxxxxxx"

An HD download link was sent to the buyer.

But on my page I cannot discover any sale. I cannot even find some statistics or whatever.
I have a free account.
Maybe it takes some time, but maybe it is just some advertisement stuff...
who knows?

I had the same thing happen about 6 months ago and I eventually found out the sale was cancelled so it never showed up in Sales! I hope this isn't the reason for yours, maybe takes a while to appear on the site. Good luck.

It's actually kinda hard to find.

Go to the pull down menu under your member name and click on "settings." Then click on "store." Then click on "sales." You should have a sale under "pending transactions." You have to wait 45 days until the transaction clears, then you can send it to your Paypal.

I've had a few sales there. They show up right away under pending sales.

I'm going to PM you the same info.

Have you ever had to wait before they show in "pending"? I'm new on 500px, and had a sale there about 2 weeks ago. It does show under all time sales, but pending still says $0.

Edit: Ah..stupid me, I looked under Payments, and not Sales.. Nevermind 8)

I've had a couple of small sales but very intermittent.  The sales appeared pretty promptly but were held in pending until they had been paid.

I've had a nice ($245 nett) sale there, and it never showed in pending. It did however show in sales and the balance showed.

Awesome stuff, so what is getting sold? Abstracts, landscapes, portraits?

I keep hearing more about sales on 500pix. It would be great if they take off, because everyone can join their marketplace. I think there is a lot of interest in a community driven high end place.

I paid for the membership and then cut them loose due to several factors:

1. Too many hoooorahs on my unwatermarked images
2. Cumbersome upload/move to prime
3. Upload always crashed if I put in more than 100 images, could always upload 10 and it worked, but with 3k images that would take forever.

I have no time to fight with a new site to get my work up, then deal with the 500PX offered solution to watermark my own images in Photoshop and upload those.

If all this gets fixed I will reconsider uploading my stuff and give it another shot.

This is one agency I am watching, while I have given up on FAA, SF, MP, CanStockPhoto, etc.

I've not paid for a membership. I only have 60 images available for sale, and I haven't invested much time in it. Not knowing what would sell, I uploaded a mix of landscape, travel, wildlife and model-released lifestyle to test.

I've had five sales in about 6 months. Three of the sales netted $175 each, one netted $140 and one netted $105.

So, it's not much. I would recommend trying it out like I have before going crazy with it. But I consider it decent for so few images, and I should upload more. I just don't do much of the type of images that are selling for me on that site.  Still, I've earned more with 60 images on 500px than I have with 1,000 or so on Veer, where I gave up uploading a couple of years ago.

That's precisely why I am keeping my eye on them.

Sorry missed that. Cool do it seems mainly the non stock type images. Especially not the isolated on white types
