Just saw this on Sean's blog http://seanlockephotography.com/2012/11/29/welcome-to-accordstock/.  Seems like a good idea to promote his brand and as he points out since the zoom on Istock is broken, he's set it up so that you can zoom on his Istock images though Accordstock.

But it also seems like a good start on a Plan B for him in case something really bad happens to Istock since Sean will have an established site that could start selling his images at the flip of a switch.  He also suggests that other contributors could in the future showcase their work on his site as well.  Could Sean be running his own agency someday?

If anyone hears about any Accordstock partner programs, let me know I'll add them to the list.

and Sean is a photographer, not a web designer/programmer/other, it shows how incompetent iStock is and also that just money (85%) doesn't mean much when the knowledge/strategy is so small and badly fundamented

Ouch! I guess we'll see the proof of the pudding if Sean starts selling enough via referrals from his own site to dump the 'incompetent' istock and sell direct.

Very nice. One thing, thumbnails on the home page aren't lining up in Chrome for me.

Sorry, I was overly sniffy there.

What I meant to say was it looks to me from reading here about people's experiences with ktools that it's a dark art getting a good result out of it and Sean seems to have done a really good job with it.

It sure is - thus all my posts in the other thread.  Starting from scratch would take faaaar too long.  It has taken a lot of tweaking.  I started with the 4.0 code, so I don't know if they've added simple things like per page display yet, and I know images in more than one lightbox is on the list.  It's just that if I keep tweaking, I'll never promo it, so there we go.

Thanks - glad you like it ok :) .   I think the point is laid out pretty well in the blog post.

I know about that Chrome thing.  On my phone too, and some other odd css.  I'll try to look at that - too much time on it and I'll never shoot again!

Very smart thinking Sean.  Wishing you best of luck with this, although with your portfolio you don't really need luck :)

I guess istockrefferer.com would be a cool domain name for this site :) It's still available:)

Sean, this is a really interesting integration. Do you have to manually link each file on the site with it's mate on the istock site? I'm not sure how else you'd do it, but it's a great solution for IS exclusives.

I export data from DeepMeta and then import that after some mangling.  Then upload the high-resolution for each file.

It looks great and loaded quickly for me Sean. Love the magnifying glass to see the details.
