But what about when you die and, through your will, copyright of all your images are transfered to someone else? Will this person still be able to collect royalties? The person that took the photos has died, images are still on-line with all various microstock agencies, who is supposed to take charge? Should all photos be deleted? In the past, that question was asked at several microstock agencies, but never got a straight answer. I am sure that dilemma must have come up.  Denis

Well, I thought it depended on the family, and how they wanted to proceed.

I mean, it's still a viable, sellable property.  Just because the creator has passed away does not devalue it.  It's your responsibility to set in place how you want it handled.  Does it go to your great-niece, Penelope? Then get it in writing, so the poor girl does not have a problem when you pass.

This is not my point. What I mean is that, as Leaf mention, microstock agencies not only want you to be the copyright holder but they want you to be the one that took the shots as well. But generally, what are microstock agencies point of view regarding photos of photographers (the ones that took the shots) that have died and no longer are the copyright holders? Denis
