Just cancelled my account at Alamy. No sale in months. I'll be dead when I reach my payout limit, if any. But maybe it's just my bad and unwanted material :)
Allthough they seem better then the ones Alex sold (no pun intended)

alamy's hit or miss -- i had a net $80 sale this month after months of little or nothing

Cool, Arcangel just reported a sale earning me a cool $158 net for this image. Updated the report.
Tres bien!

Congrats!

First of all, I love your blog. Very insightful and inspiring. Secondly glad for you that you sold this picture.
But I'm trying to grasp why the buyer bought it.
If I look at it I don't see anything pinsharp, all looks out of focus. I see noise, or is it the rain? I see a disturbing lamppost on the right, buildings are cut off, lighting is awful.
Can you walk me through the beauty of your picture? I don't seem to understand it.
Kind regards and keep up the good work, always nice to see your blog each month.

Never mind Alex. I have taken a look at the site you sold it. It seems their all into vintage looking photo's. Your photo fits in there perfectly. Forget the question.

I've probably never seen the Eiffel Tower from this angle. This is different from all the other pictures taken by tourists that the internet is full of. No wonder this picture was chosen for the cover of the book. You have done a great job, congratulations!

Funny an author of the business that actually sells book covers! Not too shabby! I do like the angle of this shot!

Hi, it's all part of the "mood".
Here's the final version used in the book cover (the latest version is in German, yet to be spotted).
I've probably never seen the Eiffel Tower from this angle.
I was in Paris for 3 weeks a few years ago and deliberately searched for "unique Eiffel Tower spots" and managed to find this one here...leading me to Av. de Camoens with the iconic Haussmann architecture on the foreground.

very lovely and nice to see how it is used. Thanks...

Agreed with the other comments. I was in paris years ago and intentionally walk around the tower to find more interesting angle but did not come across this spot.
