Title: Sharpening- Smart Sharpen (Smart Filters)
Post by: tab62 on October 12, 2012, 22:28
Just curious if you folks use the smart sharpen feature with Smart Filters? I am learning this feature in my CS6 class- Looks great! Just don't want to over do on my submitted pics to the stock companies. I feel this feature is more geared for the buyers that might want to say print the photo.  Any thoughts?

Thanks

I do not use sharpen for stock.
Sharpen can degrade a file, so it cannot be resized.
But I do use all kinds of filters for my resized pictures for web and other usage.

i shoot raw and use smart sharpen or selective channel filtering using a mask. Most parts of an image should not be sharpened, especially any sky.

Thanks- I was told a while back to only sharpen up to 33% on raw mode thus your replies have confirmed this good advice...
