Unlike expectations (knock knock knock), July has been a good month so far. In 5 days, about 20% of my average monthly sales. Maybe it's just people who will be on vacation doing some extra work before they leave, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I went on holiday for 2 weeks and couldn't upload much to SS, so my sales are down there. IS is still in decline. LO is on the rise. The other sites are down slightly. My problem is, SS accounts for about 50% of my sales, so when my sales go down there it hurts.

Yeah, July starting off good all things considered. Started on a sunday and a u.s. holiday in the middle, but several very good days. And this is with no sales at Fotolia. SS is also down, and I am uploading steadily there. Other sites picking up the slack nicely. Hope it continues.

For me FT is going well (almost back to April levels which was my best time at FT), istock is stable, but SS is rather slow. We'll see how this will develop, especially since I won't be uploading any pictures the next days (and haven't uploaded much this week either).

So far this month, SS is running about twice the volume I'd expect to see. IS is pretty steady and even DT keeps showing signs of life. If this keeps up, by the time fall comes around, it should be pretty spectacular. :D

An excellent day today, for my standards, with sales in most sites (even in CS!). I love July! :D

June was my worst month so far but things are getting better in July(nothing amazing though) but among all sites that I am uploading to FT has been the best for the past two months an sadly I experienced a dramatic decrease on all others. 8it might be partly becasue I didn2t upload anything at all last month)
hope thing will get better from now on for all of us

July has been strange. Doesn't look like it will be any better than June, but there are really good days and really bad days.
Today was my 3rd best day ever - and my best day with no EL sales - and 3 hours to go. If I could put a week like this together, I'd make my goal and then some.

It's a frustrating round of golf: everything connects on some holes, but falls short on others.

And this month only gets better.... After a big dispute between IS and StockXpert for the top seller, good sales in FT, including an EL, put it far ahead of its contenders. :)

I have been having a great month, thanks mostly to 4 EL's (SS, LO & 2xFT). I've also uploaded a few here and there. I don't upload in the high quantities that some of you do - but I've really noticed this month that the more I upload, the more I sell. And ironically, it's not the new uploads selling, either.
So, back to what everyone has always said... upload frequently.

That's interesting phenomenon I noticed, too, and I believe it was mentioned earlier by some. Not sure what gives - maybe search algorithm on some sites lift to the top of search not just new uploads but entire portfolio? Or customer seeing newest uploads has no need for those exact images but gets interested and takes a look at the rest? Something else? Anyone knows or has suggestions?

I have only uploaded very few pics this month, but July is my best month ever. ~ 20% increase of last month. One reason was SS, I had 9 or 10 Els this month over there which is quite unusual for me. But over all I had a very good month at every agency except fotolia which still is ok. Even at LO I had a few sales. Hope the trend goes on..

best month on Shutterstock so far (well, I only joined in mid-April). Passed the 1000 download mark today and am therefore halfways to the pay increase - yeah!

Well done Tina. I remember your attempt to join SS back in April, and your surprise at how many downloads you got in your first few days there. Now, in just a blink of an eye, you are already at 1,000. Now you can see why so many photographers love SS - it is one of those things that becomes an addiction.

well it was better than June for me second best RF month this year but no RM sales so 3rd best month overall this year

Best month ever due to SS, IS and StockXpert. There is now a separate thread with July earnings so maybe all posts should now be in there??
