Title: ShutterStock question
Post by: amilevin on August 18, 2015, 01:46
Hi all,

I'm new to this forum but have been contributing microstock photography for 7 years now in DT (http://www.dreamstime.com/amilevin_info (http://www.dreamstime.com/amilevin_info)).

Few years back I tried my luck with SS as well, opened an account and did not upload after my initial upload was rejected.
I want to try now again and upload to SS, do you think the fact that my account had no traffic for years will work against me?

Should I open a new account in SS or just upload to my old original account?

Thanks,
Ami.

I had an initial rejection from SS and after feeling sorry for myself for a year or so, I had another go (or two) on the same account and got accepted. I don't they're so snooty as to care so much about whether an account has lain inactive for a long time or not.

I know that other sites take upload activity into consideration on search results and priority.
In that case I'll probably have no chance of making reasonable amount of sales as my monthly average will be close to 0.

I don't think you can open another account on your name.

I don't think it matters - just use the account you've got.
