Title: Shutterstock photo collection size
Post by: jefftakespics2 on August 07, 2020, 12:24
This has likely been covered before, but is there a way to collect data on  Shutterstock's photo collection size on a daily or even weekly basis. Hopefully historical and future. A friend is looking to chart the daily intake of photos into the collection.   Thnx

You can only collect future data if you have a time machine.

He sold 0.5% of his stocks this time. I don't have previous statements archived, but I think he've sold around 2-3% of his assets since March. It is not a big deal, but why now?

85,000 shares at $55 = $4,675,000

What could anyone want with $4.6 million dollars instead of a stock that was trading for $20 less a share in June?  ???

Maybe he's serious about wanting to spread out into new ideas?

He still owns 16,001,327 shares, which is $880 million for a rainy day.

Why not now?  ;D

You are right. The price difference is huge. Of course, it is not fair trading, he is an insider. Uncle Pete, isn't there a law against it in US, how big a trade should be (in percentages) for it to be suspicious trading triggered by insiders information?

That’s why he’s been selling bits at a time. He can’t sell all shares at once. Clearly it’s not insider trading, otherwise the SEC would be all over his ass. I should think.

I think you think right.  8)

Best I could find was, SEC rule 144 says you cannot trade more than 1% of a given security type any given day. (If I calculated right, he's well under that)

The price changes as people buy and sell. But looking at 85,000 shares, the last 200 made it that total.

I pick up pennies off the ground, some people won't bend over for that. What Jon does is another world.
