Title: Snapchat's new policy raises a stink with its users
Post by: marthamarks on October 30, 2015, 14:14
I don't use Snapchat and never will, so I don't care what their policies are. But people who do use it are up in arms about this radical policy change.

Looks like we microstockers aren't the only ones getting shafted by companies we once trusted.

The story should be pretty familiar by now: new whiz-bang social networking site springs up, pulls in a gazillion users, eventually reveals long-term plans to sell your posted content and/or information about you and your friends.  We should be surprised if anyone is surprised.

"Big Data" is the Golden Fleece that marketing suits fantasise about when enjoying their morning frappuccino. To think that once we dreamed about what was over the next mountain, what was beyond the sea.
