I've been running into some rejection issues lately regarding uneven lighting. I'm really not sure how to properly light my soft box, and I think I need some fill from the front.
As it is now, I have low wattage spots on the left and right sides of the box. If it is sunny out, a lot of times I will put the soft box in the window and use that lighting from the back too.
But I still get uneven lighting problems, especially near the front of "deep" compositions. If I add a spot to the front, should it be very low power? And should it be blanketed with a sheet (or whatever) to soften it up?

Dan, have you tried a light coming straight down from the top as well?
I usually bounce a flash from the ceiling and have slave flashes on the sides. The top light seems to help even it out.

No I have not, but that sounds pretty easy to implement over the top of the soft box. Thanks.

If you post a couple, maybe others will have some ideas also.
