There's nothing that unusual about it. I start shooting a Christmas catalog for a commercial client next week. And I have micro Christmas images that sell throughout the year.

Since some search engines favor new images you probably need to upload some couple weeks before Xmas but it should not stop you from uploading anytime you want.

All the Christmas catalogues, brochures and advertising are completed months before Christmas. A couple of weeks before is much too late. I have already had a few downloads of Christmas images. Halloween images have stared selling too. I sold five or six in the last two weeks.

For macro have them uploaded by July. In December, don't even bother. All the big publications were done months before that.

For micro, peak for me was late Sept thru early December. If you have something good though, it can sell anytime. I have been selling Halloween imgs right along too.
