Is it just me or is anyone else finding the new SS submission page less than useful.
This is certainly not progress as now when you click submit its touch and go whether they are submitted or not - despite all fields filled in correctly.

Well...I'm going to offer that it's just you. It took a little getting used to but I don't have any problem with the new set-up.

It's not just you....everyone hates it. It's a royal PITA.

No that will be just you........I think the majority think its a step back. Personally I think its not as good as it should be and not an improvement but not the end of the world.

I must say that I really don't like the new design.
I have been one of the first to critic it heavily.
But I must say that when you have your images already ready, with the right description and the correct keywords, the new page is really easy to use.
From my point of view the uploader is (should be) only for upload the images, not to write the descriptions and the keywords, this is a work that should be done before, using a software like Lightroom or Bridge.
As says Asthebelltolls it is also a question of habit to the new design.
But who designed this page has absolutely no idea about ergonomics…

If the person who designed it is reading this he/she will be grabbing their dictionary about now!

The design shows no understanding of ergonomics.
The functionality is useless if you are submitting multiple items (way more scrolling and mouse clicks).
Definitely a step backwards.

It is ok if you have to change nothing, but not an improvement, and a royal PITA if SS doesn't accept all your keywords or you need to attach model releases or fix a typo or anything like that.
Just like the "improved" contributor page, you can make it work, but if they were going to change it there are so many things they could have done differently if they actually wanted it to be better.

All I can think is that they want to show investors how pretty the new page is, and to prove they made the "right" hiring decision with their new chief of IT. And maybe make the site more "sticky." If you can't get customers to stick around, force your contributors to spend 5x longer on the site uploading and looking at stats.
