Is it just me or does there seem to be a reporting issue with no sales from SS since Monday 19th March 2018.
-
Not for me and to against trend I'm doing well this month
-
Sales brutally stalled on Monday, and then progressively resumed on the next days. Not sure if this is a technical issue, as it happens pretty regularly. I would say it's just a bad week, as it sometimes happens. But I am watching carefully the situation, to check if something is wrong

BAD WEEK :'(
-
Sales very very lowt his week, very bad yesterday (wednesday) looks like it's already the weekd end .... ??? But easter is next week !
-
It's very strangely slow. Something seems to have happened Monday afternoon. It seems to be the new normal at SS.
-
Low downloads, but I am getting some spikes in SOD, one for over a hundred. But without those, weekdays would be similar to weekends, slightly better.
-
What I'm seeing is a slow but continual downtrend on SS while Adobestock is on a slow rise over time...and yes very recently, SS seems not so wonderful.
The trend I am seeing with SS vs. AS is reflected in the poll results...used to be SS was roughly 3X AS...not anymore...AS is on the rise.

Mine too, more than usual subs and ODs are active. As someone else mentioned FT is also moving up, active sales. All the rest are dead or quiet.

Saint Patricks day and the forthcoming Easter holidays may also have something to do with it
-
If it wasnt for a few EL's it would qualify for the worst week in my 14 years with SS!

hahaha! good one Minsc!! ;D.........actually they are cutting the servers, blocking huge parts in Europe, mainly over night but even during certain hours of the day!
If you are getting four figures from the boutique, the trads, macro, and your own professional business, why do you bother with Micro at all?

Why not? 4 x four figures can be as low as $4-5,000 per month which doesn't last very long at all with a house and family. Actually, probably not enough to even have a house.

Very Strong Week, and Month.
Please Don't stop 🛑!

Well something have to pay for my Cessna 172!! lovely little plane!

Bang on. A very unpredictable period for all of us because of holidays. Me? Not bad, not good. P5 has been the only stinker....but that's been the norm all year not just the holiday period.

Very, very bad week !!!

Unusually bad week and month. My typical lower earners are uncharacteristically bringing in lots of sales this month - more than top tier.
-
I made more yesterday than in all the last week… (some unexpected big sales)
-
Not bad! 3 EL's and one large single-sale saved the week but hardly any OD's and very, very few subs-sales. Strange its normally the opposite! this week however well its only Tuesday!
Uncle Pete! funny how different it goes, for me Adobe is a complete write-off. I dont even visit the site anymore and in a choice of leaving one of these two since they totally compete with each other I have to stay with SS.
-
1st EL for 18 months, I almost spat my coffee out! Only $17 though but I guess I could've replaced it! Apart from that it's the continuing spiral downwards.
-
the whole month of March SS was below average.
Much better than Adobe Stock.
Perhaps indeed Adobe is gaining ground on SS

I was surprised to see this thread and came here expecting to see an upbeat thread that shutterstock was back to business as usual.
I've been neglecting SS and not even checking my portfolio, so I was happily surprised when I checked it today. I've had a steady stream of ELs since the beginning of the month, a nice SOD and regular sales daily* throughout March- Not a BME but certainly the best month I've had in a couple of years, and close to the most ELs in one month.I haven't added anything new in 2018 at all, although I'm thinking I should.
I don't think it's an algorithm change since nearly all my sales are my usual bestsellers and the ELs are the same images that tend to be licensed as ELs. Some of the ELs were $27+ and not the $18 average I've come to expect. Even without the ELs it would be a decent month - and better than most for the past 18 months or so.
*missed a couple of days - I have around 350 images and even when sales were excellent in the old days, I'd always seem to have a day or two each month without a download.
+I didn't check every sub sale but those I checked were all the usual suspects.
Anyone else having a month that reminds them of the old days? 8)
-
I haven't had a good SOD in over a year I think they are all pretty much from sub up to OD in amount, mostly in the double sub range.
Tuesday was like a decent day from a few years ago though both in number and OD number. Nice, but I'll believe it is more than a one off when it repeats a few more times in less than a few months.
The monthly total seems about on par for what it has been lately.
-
This march is almost same as last march, eventhough the size of the portfolio is doubled.
-
My better months on SS net me some 2000 downloads. I am under 700 so far this month, with this week being particularly slow, so I guess we are slowly going down the pan.
-

Which is not so surprising when you look at the size of SS's port as a whole.

I really don't think Shutterstock is interested in standards these days - they've gone with the 'pile it high and sell it cheap' mentality.
With the last two blog posts explaining shutter speed and aperture, it's kind of obvious that they are grooming the 'woot woot I made $10 this month' crowd.

I hear that in their next blog post they're going to visit FC Barcelona and show them how to tie their shoes and explain that a ball is round, and not a cube.

I've had a sudden surge in sales over the last few days. They are very welcome after weeks in the doldrums.

Me too, I think it might be an end of the quarter, the subscription is running out, kind of thing? Except there is also a flock of ODs along with the subs. Could just be Spring and my favorites, half of them, are more in tune with March, April, May events. I hope this keeps up.
None of my Easter theme shots have sold recently, which I'm not surprised. Search returns 158,027 Easter Eggs Basket :)
Unusual "sold for the first time" downloads of two year old or more photos. Newest upload got an OD on Saturday. Saturday? 8)
And in case all this good news is too hard to handle, March 2018 is going to come in, under 2017 not including the SOs. I won't know until after Sunday but I don't expect much with Good Friday long weekend and Easter vacations. Some places offer, work Friday, get off Monday.
-
To my surprise doing a bit better than last March with some of my Easter images emerging after disappearing for a couple of years. If the smaller sites were doing a bit better would be a very good month....just a bit better than my fears overall ;-).
-
Good month. Better in the 1st two thirds of the month.... a little quieter over the last week. Seen one day over $200 with a good helping of video sales throughout the month alongside EL's and rather health SODs. SS are just in front of FT for a change, but only by $40 so tiny % diff overall.

Just received a 30˘ clip pack video royalty... Not happy...
