Title: Somesite to Some Other site - transfer
Post by: RacePhoto on December 28, 2010, 04:55
I could have sworn I read a message saying that someone had seen a link at one of these two sites, that said transfer your XX portfolio to xxxxxxx. Now I can't find the message.

Did anyone ever copy the link?

admin edit: to make things more obscure ;)

Sorry Race, I did a little edit to your post.

Yeah, there was a thread last week about site XX allowing you to transfer images to site YY.  The news leaked out a little early and the OP of the original thread asked me to remove the thread.  The thread has been put in 'holding' until site XX makes the announcement (within a week or two perhaps).  Sorry for the confusion and for editing your post.

I knew it was just a matter of time before X will be able (and allowed) to transfer files to Y. But if contributors are Z, will X pay Z or will X retain fees from Y? Or if Z performs this transfer at Z's option will it cost Z a fee to either X or Y?

Oh I should have guessed that the answer was a ZZ one. ;)

Thanks I'll wait...

I still wonder what the gain is for XX to have the same images on a partner site unless they hope to have On Demand sales of something that sets it apart from XX in some way? Hopefully some way that will boost our sales and income, Of Course!  :)
