I hope this hasn't been before but I was alerted by Barry this afternoon to check this guy's port out.
Just putting this out there in case anyone sees their images there!
Found 2 of my images...a lot are stolen so have a look! :(

Yes a LOT of stolen work in that portfolio.

It has been posted on the SS forum and I posted this to my FB page also...hopefully more people will see their images there. :(

My works are stolen as well. Looking forward to get compensation (at least the royalties earned by the thief on my images) from Colourbox.

BTW it is a shame that my images appeared in such a lousy agency as Colourbox.

I called them, since they weren't responding to Facebook shaming. We'll see what happens. 1.800.253.2305

Does anyone know anything about pixers.nl I see that they have several of my images on their site for sale with canvas, posters and stickers for print like cafe press. Is Pixers associated with any of the regular stock sites?

Thanks

I found this on pixers.nl:

Quote
ALL IMAGES AND PHOTOS ON THE WEBSITE OF PIXERSIZE.COM ARE COPYRIGHTED.

PIXERS' base is connected to Fotolia API and 123RF, therefore all images from the stock can appear on PIXERS. Please NOTE that we deliver our services only on demand. Every single photo used in this process is purchased from Fotolia or 123RF.

Colourbox removed "his" portfolio!
I wish all agencies can find identical images in different contributor portfolios and don't even approve them!

"Dear ***********,

Thank you for your mail and informations.

All material by the supplier in question has been removed.

We will, of course, take correct measures and we will  make sure that the supplier can not sell either images nor vectors on our site again.

Thank you for making us aware of this problem.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Med venlig hilsen / Best regards

And do the contributors get the money he made on the infringed images? And will they stop him from creating a new account under a new name and uploading the same exact images?

I see his stuff got taken down. Not listed as 0 files. It's a shame but I've found my images all over the internet. People just seem to think that if they can right click and save as then they can use it wherever they want.

no, neither the original contributor and nor the infringement person will receive any money. All the money will be taken by colourbox.
And yes, agencies welcome contributors and it is not possible for them to search for every infringement image when you have billions of images floating on internet. So they welcome all without doing deep research over them (which is not possible)
