I'm thinking about using Pinterest to promote some of my images but not sure if the negatives of possible theft outweigh the positives.

What are your thoughts? Have you ever done it?

Yes I have, but making pins is very boring and I doubt I'll bother in future. There's no need to worry about theft if you use the low res watermarked preview for your pins.
