Title: Studio shots
Post by: hsfelix on January 31, 2015, 07:47
Hello guys,

I have a big portfolio and almost all shots are made in studio with white background.
From my experience in stock photography, and even the fact my earnings are still going up after a few years, buyers are giving priority to the "whole package" i.e. the model into the environment and not "isolated over white background" and that's why i'm considering giving up on my studio. What do you think?
Can you share your experience with this?

best regards

In my experience isolated studio shots were good years ago, now nature and real shots rule.

Btw. shots or shoots? I never know which form is correct in English ;)

Either one, depending on the context.  Shots for individual images, shoots for all of the shots taken in the same shoot.  For the subject of the OP either one would work.
