Don't you sometimes upload an image that you think would never sell?  This was the case here, but it seems someone wanted Lithuanian money.

It's not really a merit, since it's the only of its kind in IS.  :)

Hmm, I wished I had photographed Latvian and Estonian money too!

Regards,
Adelaide

I have two shots of this and they have both sold a few times. (I was surprised it was accepted in the first place).

For sure!  I still remain surprised that someone purchased a print of my crumpled paper bag background at IS, and someone else paid $50 for an EL of a Brawny paper towel background.

Sold today!  A typical Saskatchewan farm yard.  Although, very poorly composed if I must say so myself.   My agriculture shots have been selling quite well this week.   Must be the season for farm photos I guess.  Here, I thought would do better in spring.

This is one of the shots on my list that might be culled when my port has a little more mass.

What are your thoughts about cleaning out your portfolio?  Lee wrote an interesting blog on the subject that you will find here:

Some interesting examples.  Leaf, I guess the mess has an attraction point (hmm, where are those pics I took of my office desk a while ago?).  We tend to focus on nice looking setups and places, but sometimes something like that is needed.

There are also these images I uploaded for a request, they didn't sell then, but months later and not at the same time (maybe different buyers, maybe not).  It's my foot, BTW, and a model release was not required.  :) :

And funny, I sold the same banknotes image again, now in a larger size - a satisfied customer, perhaps?

a.k.a.-tom:
To post an image, get its URL and then use the IMG tag (it's the second icon on the second line of icons, below the Italic icon). Or type (IMG)URL(/IMG), but with brackets instead of parenthesis.

Adelaide

you have to use square brackets

it is hard to show because then it will just do its thing but one more try

type

(img) http://www.aurlhere.jpg (/img)

EXCEPT:  use square bracket instead of those round ones.  OR you can just click the 'Insert Image' icon which will give you the (img)(/img) text and you just have to put the link between the brackets (which will be square)

Or type in the image url

http://www.mywebsitename/mypicturename.jpg

then highlight the text and press the Insert Image button (which is directly beneath the Italicized button).
