how portable does it have to be?  Most good inkjet printers are small enough to put in the back of a car and put on a table somewhere.

Thanks.
Correct, maybe one that fits in the back of a car or any table but with battery, cause in some places there is no power.

That is what an Inverter is for.

Thanks for the tip, then which printer you think might works well to print photos right away?

I don't know what country you are in, but the photogs around here loved the Sony Snaplab - but then Sony doubled or tripled the price of Snaplab supplies in Canada, the event photog I talked to was very angry with them.  If you are in the US maybe look into it.

Take a look at the Canon Selphy also. They have some that work on batteries, also it's diesub, not inkjet, makes smaller prints, but very good color.

I have run standard inkjets on a battery pack with a power inverter. Just turn on when you print, turn off. Little battery with a handle and built in inverter.

Car power? More details needed for what the project is?

Event? How long? How many prints? What size...

Thanks everybody for your tips.

I need to print it in 4 x 6 and 5 x 7 in the event.  Its a family day in a school event.  Also there will be other in a Karate event.

I try to find the Snaplab Sony but its all sold everywhere and by the way very very expensive, but i think the quality must be outstanding.

Thank you all for your suggestions.
