This is what I got into my e-mail, what do you think of it? Site itself doesn't look very convincing...

Hi,

My name is Joseph.  I would like to invite you to join www.TheArtofBusinessCards.com (ABC). On this site you earn $5 to $20 on every sale. Many artists say they make more on this site than all of their other sites.

There is a video that explains more about the opportunity on the site.

You may sign up at this link:
http://www.theartofbusinesscards.com/index.php?do=Artistsregister

Please email me if you have any questions.

The site isn't the prettiest, that's for sure, but I sell several cards a month.  It's not a huge income generator, but the income is steady.

No doubt, odd how it's identical to the emails that come from "Joseph". I guess they need to spam up some business now and then.  ::)

And before that, it was, you don't write support you write to the owner Tim who by the way, wrote a few messages here and then became an unregistered member. Something odd about that site?

Yes people do make sales, but it's still odd?

Odd it is, at least to me. And what is the concept of this thing actually? Do I upload just photos, or business card templates including the text?

They have a one-size template that you design to, plus they also require a copy of the original art (either the original photo or the business card...take your pick) for times when a buyer wants business cards and the art file for other uses (you get paid $25 for those sales).

Once a file is uploaded, you choose which of their zillion text designs best fits your business card.  The text design can later be customized by the customer.

Is that requirement something new? I know I had to upload the image to place it in the business card, but I never had my images for sale by themselves and I did that on purpose and for a reason.

Yea, it became required for a couple weeks now I think. From the new Administrator.

Yeh...there's a new Art File requirement.  You can choose to upload the original image or the business card version.  I just choose the business card version.  Old cards without an art file will be grandfathered in.

Is anybody still active there? Things have been pretty quiet for some time and I do better on Zazzle so I'm giving it a break.

I haven't uploaded in forever, but I always get sales there. Not a lot of money, but usually make anywhere from $60.00 to $70.00 every month.

I make a ton more off Zazzle and if they were both the same template size I'd probably upload more, but their process to get the file ready is a pain. They gotta be a tif file, not jpeg. Some of my bestsellers on Zazzle won't even work with their predetermined temp layouts. I wish they would let us do our own layout. Using one of theirs on a design that doesn't work with it, even if the customer can change it...does not look good. First impressions are always the best.

Maybe they will see this and listen to our suggestions.

Hi Caroline, you can drop the need to open photoshop and do a template etc a while ago I haven't even tried due to that, how about we upload the pictures (jpg) as we do with zazzle? ;)

We are actually in development of a system to upload jpgs  :) It's in the beta phase and we'll be choosing a few artists to help test it

I'm really glad You decided to make this change. It will make creating designs much easier. I'm also registered contributor in Your site. Maybe could You tell when approximately we could expect for the new jpeg uploading system?

We hope to have it soon. Once testing is done we'll let all of the artists know.

That's good news and will motivate me to upload again.
