Interesting, but not really surprising. I guess I knew Fotolia did their funny money currency conversion stuff. It's kind of cheesy that DT skims referral fees off the top. That should really come out of their share.

I guess they are all cheating us. It's just that iStock isn't sneaky about it.  ;D

To be fair - Fotolia pays to contributors still same amount regardless of credit package that buyers bought (it's less than promised with small packages but it's for example 37.77% - instead of "bronze" 23% - with 7000 credit package with payout in EUR).
DT's maths scares me more.

both incredible but we know about that for a long time

the FT paying $ for the European contributors is just over the roof, I am getting more and more sales there, better not to imagine getting paid in EUR  ::) ::)

You're right, not many bloggers I guess. But I'm glad that I don't have any 0,08 sales on FT.

the problem is that they dropped us not very long and they think we have forgotten, we havenīt :)

honestly we are wasting our time talking about agencies "rules", we will never get anywhere, we only have to accept and collect if they are kind to paypal us time to time ;D

as a Silver a XL I get 2$, I should get 2EUR, thats 1.64EUR, 0.36EUR or 0.44$, which is a silent cut of 18%

I just poked around with the calculator a bit. I didn't know you got less on DT if you were a referred contributor although I thought they skimmed for referred buyers - both should come out of DT's take as a marketing cost.

I also was unable to get anywhere near as low as my lowest sales or credit amounts on IS - I suppose they would say it was due to "old credits" or something like that.

Still any effort to shed some light on these somewhat underhanded agency tactics is worthwhile.

I also notice he says IS rounds up to the nearest cent. I remember reading differently (unofficially), so I wonder what is correct.

Although it can be confusing sometimes it is nice the way Alamy reports the sale amount and any deductions. I think if all the sites reported sales like that we would be horrified by how much they are taking out of each sale.

I'm pretty sure they round down.

Do they have flats in NY?  I thought you had to go to England to rent a flat.  I remember being horrified when my friend moved into a "bachelor".  She could stretch and touch the kitchen sink, the sofa and the bathroom door all at the same time.

honestly I do enjoy those kind of small apartments, sure big ones are fine too but I like the simplicity and funcionality of them, there are amazing studios

OTOH I have heard that the burglars in Romania have increased :-\

I could hate them a bit more ( FT ) , but... I'm paid in EUR  ;D

But all that happiness vanishes each time I raise money from paypal...

I've had this on my site if anyone wants to try a different take:

eta: BTW, with all the changes on IS that happen, good luck keeping it up to date!
