I was there three years ago and had high hopes for images.  If you search on "Gatlinburg Tennessee" on SS you only get 630-some images.  Seems like a very low number for a place that sees more than 10 million tourists a year.  Many of mine are on the front page of the search but sales are very slow.  I would just go enjoy it and not worry about it too much unless you see something really interesting - maybe a bear wandering through town or something like that.  The view from Clingman's Dome is very nice and you can get aerial-ish views of the town from the space needle or whatever it is called.  However, it vibrates a bit from the elevator and people walking around so can be hard for focus.  I thought there would be decent sales potential but my results were very disappointing.  Just drink some moonshine and enjoy it!

sgoodwin4813 thanks for respond, I read it to late after my return. I have absolutely same filing like you. I have couple nice pic but I fill more unhappy than happy from this photo trip. When I stop at Clingman`s Dome it was very fogy and visibility maybe 100 yards.I like  also Cades Cove area. This is not my best photo trip, I  do not know also why is this park with this big tourist number so popular.

.... I  do not know also why is this park with this big tourist number so popular.

location!  it's within easy driving distance of many major population centers compared to parks like Yellowstone, Yosemite and grand canyon -- a few years ago acadia was #1 or #2 for much the same reasons.  it's dropped a bit since then

for duplicate bridge tournaments, the regional is Gatlinburg is also the largest in the country, and often bigger than some national events
