Last year I registered with this agency called "Twenty20". It's run by Envato. I know that website also sells photostock but they also have this as a separate agency. Why I'm not sure.
Does anyone else here sell pics through them?
For those not familiar with this company here is their website: https://www.twenty20.com/discover
I've made about 4 dollars so far selling 4 pics.
But as I'm a beginner who only started getting into the photostock business as of last year that is probably a small accomplishment.
Nothing to really brag about but at same time nothing to really cry about either.
What I like about them is that they have no minimum threshold or payout level.
Unlike other sites where you have to reach 50 or a hundred dollars in sales before you can collect anything.

Well, getting unlimited images for 16.50$ / month is not going to get a lot of traction among content creators here. They are together with Envato Elements another one responsible for the race to the bottom. Although I sell some clips through Envato I stay away from Elements.

And about the paying level, if you stay with serious agencies (a few nowadays I know) you should be able to collect those hundreds of dollars you talk about. If you stay with Envato Elements Twenty20, Bigstock, Canstock, etc etc you will always be looking at one or two digits payouts. Up your game and quality and leave those suckers behind. Not a good strategy in the medium long run to stay with them.

Excellent advice. If the OP is wise, he will take it.

Great words! Thanks for clearing clutter! I have been with is,dt,ss for few years and the numbers only going down. There used to be 2dollar or so    per download then .75 then .25 and now stupid SS. Feels like last nail in coffin of stock.
Now, I really am up for up my game, which agencies you recomond? Thank you very much and lets see in 6 months.

Look in the right column. Top tier and top ten of the middle tier. Others at your own risk.

Well good for you. Sounds really encouraging. Unlike previous comments regarding this website it does seem that some people are profiting from this site. As for Shutterstock I  would like to know how many people will still be making that much on that site right now.

Got a small portfolio there. uploading to twenty20 they do not read metadata, so it is manual typing, only allow 10 keywords per image. Even with that small portrfolio i have made at least one sale per month, and up to 10 sales per month. No matter the amout of sales I always get 1 dollar. One dollar for one image is fine with me, but one dollar for 10 images is just the same as shitterstuck. I do not uploa more to that site, but keep observing.

I tried to upload my entire portfolio to them - as mentioned above, they don't allow for CSV, so it took me literally days to tag everything and it was not fun. Anyway, not long after I see that loads of images were being marked as not eligible for Commercial or Editorial, which was strange as there was nothing wrong with them.

Dropped them a support email and the reply was basically:

"Your images are for sale on other platforms, so we don't want to sell them on here."

Which is strange because they continue to host them and it's not against their Non-Exclusive ToS, they're just being picky.

My reply was that a buyer will ultimately go elsewhere if they find a photo on their site that they can't buy and probably lose them to the other platform. They said they'll take that feedback onboard, but still 60% of my photos sit there without being on sale.

It's worth saying.. They have an App and usually about 5 competitions a week with monetary prizes. I've won a couple of prizes and it's returned me a few hundred dollars for probably about 30 competitions that I've submitted a photo to. Top 10% also get a prize share too I think, I got a portion of the pool the other day.

Literally tap, select photo from library (or upload), submit and that's it.

Uploaded a couple of (non-exclusive) images there which are pending review for months now. I guess they never will be reviewed.
I also participated in a few competitions or challenges, not sure how they call it, and got some "honors" saying the image ended up in the top 10% (some of them in the top 4% to be precise) but I can't recall seeing any commissions for that.

Without putting too much effort in it: I really can't figure out how it works.

I think the payout structure depends on the competition.

The voting is actually pretty good. In the App, you can enter the competition and then vote on it in a Tinder-style swipe left for no, swipe right for yes, voting on each image in the pool. So it seems like all the votes are by your peers.

Looks like March Sales posted on total earnings and yep, 4 image sales= $1 total for second straight month on the site.

Got the email to say this, but funnily enough, quickly followed up by Envato saying they'll continue to honour my image portfolio.. I know it's the same company, but just a strange way to do things. You'd think they'd just say they're integrating the two businesses.
