Title: Unbeliveable
Post by: w7lwi on July 10, 2007, 14:58
Truth is stranger than fiction.  I posted an image on SS, DT and IS at the same time yesterday.  Both DT and IS finished their review today, less than 24 hours after posting.  And SS ... still waiting.  180 degrees from what it used to be!

my add-on -- images just accepted at Stockxpert but NOT at SS -- a 180 degree change -- what's happening to the world I knew  ???  ;)

The summer slow down seems to be hitting the review process harder at some sites

Istock + DT are faster than usual

but I have backlogs at BS SS and most surprisingly at FP

usually FP review everything in the queue in one go but in July they just review small groups. I guess some of the sites are letting their reviewers have some holidays

I keep hearing that SS has been accepting a lot fewer images than before - but sales have remained pretty steady.  Guess we just keep trying to figure it out and keep uploading.  Good luck!!!!

Yes, the orders have reversed for all the sites in speed haven't they?

I had a new rejection this week.  "Please submit keywords in English".  It is a photo of an Inukshuk.  (Stacks of rocks shaped like man that the Inuit used as a travel marker away up north in the permafrost.)   I looked it up on Wikipedia and sent a link... apparently that IS the English variation.  They did accept it in the end.

I've seen quite a few posts lately about reviewer's command of both the english language and world geography, or rather the lack thereof.  Don't know if it's due to the dumbing down of the education system or a general lack of interest on the part of students and teachers.  It's a shame.  If I have an oddball name or location in my keywprds or title, I've gotten in the habit of including a note to the reviewer (on those sites that provide for a note).  Usually takes care of the problem.  But, still, I shouldn't have to.
