Shutterstock---I have always had downloads every day even if it were Subs.   Now going on two weeks I have no downloads (even subs)  This is very strange for me.  Anyone else having a decline in daily downloads?

Thanks--Oscar C. Williams

I still have a few downloads everyday but it is definitely going downhill. Every month it goes down more and more. I'm kind of shocked how quickly it's tanking (for me). I thought it may be a more gradual fall but it is certainly escalating fast.

Downloads from the U.S. have been few and far between since June last year, not that they ever reached much more than a third at best, but they did provide most of the SODs and Enhanced, which means my earnings are shot.

It looks like I'm among the "lucky" ones. I'm already close to the Feb 2019 total, in other words, on track for the best February ever.

Download volume is lower at SS but it's the lower RPD - the SOD sales have gone AWOL - that's the major problem.

This month so far my RPD is 61.5 cents versus Feb last year was 80.3 cents (December RPD was $1.01, but the last three or four months of the year are always much better).

Adobe stock's sales total is beating SS and the RPD is 98.2 cents - more of the custom sales at slightly higher royalties. That isn't great news given that it's a result of SS's slump, but I'm glad AS isn't slumping too :)

In their Q4 financials, SS said that the corporate sales had shrunk 1% (while the eCommerce had grown 7%); I can't see how that can be good news for us, and they keep saying they're working on revamping that side of the business, but it doesn't so far seem to have done anything for volume or royalties.

I have been doing pretty well this month on SS.

For me, SS has been declining for the last four months straight, though January 2020 was less than $1 below December 2019.  This followed six months of increasing sales.

At the pace I am at now, I should end my losing streak and go over January 2020's sales.  However, I doubt I will reach February 2019's sales, as it was one of my BMEs.

I was increasing the size of my portfolio in recent months significantly and SS is just at the same level for the whole year. On the other hand, all other agencies were rising up thanks to the increased size of my portfolio... so, there is something wrong with SS in my case as well. But it is a long term problem, it is just stagnating. Nothing weird has happened in few last days.

Worried about the dropping average return per download.
I had a massive run of subs only...seems to have become a bit more normal the last few days. I can't be bothered to dust off my stats textbooks and do the analysis but I'd say sales are much more unpredictable of late.

Some of my friends said that shutterstock not accept payment from customers, their payment system refused all, if you want to buy, you must contact support and wait a few days or even a few weeks. So funny.  :o
