i read an article at dpreview
about unsplash.com site.
in practice free foto at max resolution.
i watched the quality and seems a lot like stocksy but free...i think in most cases better quality than micro. for free.
already 1200000 download.
that's scaring.

I noticed it about four years ago when it started. If you don't like that, then you're not going to like Pexels or Pixabay either!

Companies usually avoid free stuffs, reason due to licencing issues. You never know when unsplash will change their terms and land you in trouble.
