Hi Guys,
I sell stock footage on few platforms. 3 months ago I saw that Vertical Video (thanks to Snapchat, Facebook, Youtube) is raising.
Vertical viewing accounted for 29% of view time last year. Snapchat’s vertical video ads have a 9x higher completion rate. Vertical Videos are becoming one of the hottest topic and the future of mobile advertising with a market size of $38B (just in US).
We decided to open a Marketplace focused just on Vertical Videos.
I would be happy to get feedback from you or maybe some of you would like to upload their vertical footage (I know that there are contributors already doing that). We are startup and have already few first happy customers, but we can offer some really nice commission rates for our early adopters.

Are you even open for business? The collection is very small from what I see. I am all for a successful start up so....
Your biggest competitor is probably Pond 5
1. Pond 5 already sells vertical but they do not display them that way is all
2. Pond 5 allows everyone to set their own prices
3. Pond 5 does not have a pricing floor so people sell dirt cheap clips there- that is an industry killer. Will you set minimum pricing for HD and 4K?
4. I like 65%. Are you sure that is sustainable? The fastest way to destroy your reputation is by cutting commissions. Dissolve did it by cutting prices to compete with Video Blocks.
5. Speaking of Video Blocks, they are possibly going to force other agencies to lower their prices to $45. P5 hasn't fallen into that trap yet but that's probably because they have plenty of cheap clips for $10.
6. Will you accept 4k?
I'm sure other will chime in but these are my initial thoughts.

Hi Mantis,
I really appreciate your feedback! Thank you!
We are open for business, but we literally stared a week ago!:) and we every few weeks we will introduce some cool features. Right now we're building our collection and talking with users/contributors.
We think 65% is sustainable, we did lot of research in that area. We might change something in the future as our startup will slightly pivot, but we will discuss everything with our authors.
Yeah, Video Blocks is a huge player, we have to focus right now on our niche:)
We are accepting 4K and any formats in between, users can sets their own prices.
Thanks again for your feedback!

Vertical videos should be banned because they are f***ing annoying to watch.

If something like google glass took off, I think it would kill most use of vertical video. Are we really going to be walking around looking at a small screens and bumping in to things in 10 years time? Then there's VR, vertical isn't going to be much use when people are using thinkg like the oculus rift. So I'm not sure the vertical market can ever get much bigger than it is now and there's a good chance it will shrink substantially. 360° video interests me a lot more.

Is this site still active? Website doesn't seem to work for me. At least I got some royalties out of it.
