I am using the Capture at work and at home I am using an Intuos 5. I bought that because I am doing some creative stuff in Painter and I wanted the pen to have tilt capabilities. I am totally happy with it.

I've been using tablets for 10+ years. Those are too small in my opinion. Go one size larger and you'll find much more control over detail and less strain on your fingers. 8)

Sure. I typically buy "used" or discontinued hardware when possible (keeps more junk out of the landfills. So my most recent was an intuous2 12x18. You can get one for less than $200 on many ebay auctions. If that's too much for you, then I say go no smaller than 6x8. The 6x8 is nice if you do freelance jobs and want to take it with you to work on site for the client.
So do a search for intuos 12x18 or intuous 6x8 on ebay. You'll be amazed with the bargains. ;D
