Title: Watermarks
Post by: madelaide on May 13, 2010, 16:40
I was watching a presentation at office today. Then, in one of the slides, there was an illustration of the map of Brazil.... with DT logo on it.  I was moving in my chair, but I would not interrupt the presentation to comment about this.

Wouldn't it be smarter if watermarks had something showing more clearly this is a proof image only? I don't know how to do this without being unelegant.  DT logo, as many others too, not showing the agency's name, also my pass unnoticed.  In one of my images, it even looks like it's part of the illustration...

Absolutely. Most other agencies include the name. And it naturally makes sense.

You should have shouted to high heavens! The problem is no one would understand your point if they dont understand microstock. People will use photos from google searches in presentations, no matter what the web location is, and this will always be a problem. I guess its not really a problem if its not being published or presented outside of a small group of people?
