I'm sure a lot of us have some photo's of clock faces in our stock portfolio, the one troubling thought I have had is this:

What time on the clock sells best.................this is serious question, I would appreciate your guidence.

ha... good question :)

i think i just took whatever the watch was showing, but i am sure there is a good time to have it at.  I wonder if 10:10 is a common time.  I think i thought about that looking at an add a while back and that was the time it was showing.

My clock images are 5:58 and 4:05

I have two photo's of the same clock on at ten to twelve, or 11.50 and the other at nine twenty five. Both are only showing a small portion of the face. Ten to twelve out sells the other one by a long shot.

Maybe 10.10 is more suited to a full face shot because of the balance, but a close up I thought you would need two hands in the shot ??? so what time?

Yes, ten after ten is the standard for selling watches.

I have an outside antique clock in my portfolio, the needles fell off inside the glass.  I called it 'timeless'.  It doesn't sell too much, even though I framed it so that the numbers would represent the business hours "from nine to five".

The ten past ten has the shape of a V (victory or peace), maybe that's why it's so positive.  With a darker look, I suppose that the midnight clock or a few minutes before would work too.

I'm very much in favor of 13.50. At 10.10, I'm so hungry for lunch   ;D

I'm no expert but maybe a clock set to 5:00 PM would be a good time to display.  That's typically what time the workday ends (quittin' time!) for those of us pushing the 8-5 workday.   ;D

As I see it 10.10 seems to be standard.

Same for hands on steering when driving!!

But we can make our own, maybe you can set a new standard !!!

All the best.
