Hey guys, i need some tips. I make vector illustrations. and at the moment mainly pattern. I submit at StockXpert and ss. Both do quite good.
Now i want to submit at one other site. Which one should i choose and why?
thanks

I'd go to istock and dreamstime next

at istock i saw written somewhere that they are not so keen on patterns and silluettes. is that true?

well you could upload a few and see what they say. If they don't like them, you wouldn't have to continue there.
istock is definatly a good earning when you can get images on there (between the strict reviewers and low upload limits) and especially if you happen to get good in the search rankings.
otherwise dreamstime is a good bet.

If you are wondering about Istock, you MUST try. I have a mere 4 images there and have made $99.19 since joining 3 months ago. 4 photos! (Mind you, 1 of the 4 has earned most of that). I've only tried to upload a few of my best there. They either don't like, or send back a note on how to fix the problem. The 2 that I actually took the time to fix were accepted the second time. You have to pass their submission test, but if you don't pass the first time try again. I think that if you poll everyone on this site, Istock will be their #1 or #2 earner.

OK. so Istock is quite a challenge to get in! Well.. let's go for it!
If you check out my portfolio at SS. Which ones will give me the best change to get accepted there?
Thanks

I'd definitely apply to iStock and they don't make you wait to try again if they don't like one of your images that you submit.

One factor is the level of complexity which is a key factor at iStock but the minimum payout will be $1 if the image is selling for $5 plus you have to pass their test
DT treat all vectors the same but it can earn you anywhere between 25c and $4 depending on whether its a subscription sale or a new credit but you are earning 50%. I seem to get more $2 and $4 sales than 25c sales at the moment.
Featurepics now accept eps files and you set the price so if you have your own website might be an idea sending them to Featurepics as well and linking to them to the file at Featurepics as you will earn 70%
Be wary of the $1 eps sales at StockXpert
At BS you will only earn $1 per eps file
At FT supposedly $1.65 but you have to submit in svg format.

Thanks for the replies. Now i subscribed to Istock and submitted 3 vectors for acceptance. I hope to get in. They said it will take maybe even two weeks!? that's a long wait!
