Title: When was the last time you bought stock images/videos?
Post by: DuckDuckAway on September 09, 2022, 00:34
Is there people here that buy stock images or do you just sell?
If so, how much do you buy on average? And what do you usually buy?

I used to do a lot of freelance work (videos) so I often needed images, AE templates, graphics, music etc. Got them all from Envato as they have the lot and I could use my earnings balance to pay for them which was handy. Depended on my workload and the needs of the project but was probably spending anything from $20 to $250 a month. Very rarely do client work these days so it's not that often I buy stock.

Same, used to buy quite regularly, now more rarely.

Always surprised how hard it can be to find something specific when it seems so oversaturated from my perspective as a contributor.

I guess because the return is so low it just isn’t worth the risk of creating niche images (you’ll never make enough sales to cover the costs).

Often had to check across sites to find what I want. Last time had to buy on SS of all places. Don’t know why any contibutor would have an image just on SS! I would have bought it from anywhere for any price in the "micro" credit range.
